Under Jacques I, he was accused of taking part in a conspiracy against the king, and thrown into a prison where he languished for twelve years, from 1604 to 1616. In the year 1595, Sir Walter Raliegh leaves England to sail to the New World to search for the city of El Dorado (the city of the gold), where he hoped to discover gold mines, but he took possession of part of the country on behalf of England. Finaly 'cause he had destroyed some Spanish settlements he was, at the request of Spain, imprisoned again on his return, it reactivated the old charge of treason which he had not been fully discharged. The statesman is beheaded for attacking the Spanish in 1618

    Romeo and Juliet's story

The most famous tragic lve story dating back to antiquity.

     Romeo And Juliet

    Author: William Shakespeare

     Title: Romeo and Juliet

    Century:  The XVIe

    Litery genre: Tragedy

    The Prologue

    Romeo And Juliet

The prologue is the introduction of the story. Here, he is short and he learn us that:

    - Where the scene takes place.

-The time when it takes place.

    -The main Characters.

    -The context.

The scene takes place to Verona (In italy) for one day. The main characters are Two lovers, two "Households" ( The Capulat and the Montaigue ) but the Families are enemy. Their quarrels are extremly violent.

    Aladin and Jasmine

    1. Romeo And Juliet

    1. Romeo And Juliet

The two scenes are similar, sincethe girl is still high, behind the balcony and the boy is below it. The balcony represents the line of separation of both worlds. Moreover, the moon is also an element present in both scenes.

The two photos show us a love scene, a romantic encounter because their eyes are filled with love. Aladin is on a magic carpet, in a vacuum, it amplifies even more "dangerous" love these two characters. The story of Aladdin and Jasmine is magical, imaginary, while the story of Romeo and Juliet is more realistic.

"If Romeo and Juliet had lived, do you think their love story would have ended as David and Harriet's one?"

"If Romeo and Juliet had lived, do you think their love story would have ended as David and Harriet's one?"

I think if Romeo and Juliet had survived, they wouldn't have them the same purpose as Harriet and David. Indeed, the golden couple of English literature, have encountered a dilemma between their love and their families. They are in love and they want to finish their lives together. The problem comes from the outside world  and nothing prevented from leaving away from it all to build a more beautiful life. However the problem of harriet and david is born of their love. They are Disagree   from birth to Ben while Romeo and Juliet are ready to do anything to live together and welded to the end of their days. I think Romeo and Juliet as if they had survived, they would have a life even more perfect than the beginning of their romance as they reflect a couple without any limits just to be and to finish together.

  • Religious life

     During the

     Elizabethan Era, there

     were catholic and

     protestant people in England.

In fact, the religion changed because of t

he monarch's religion who was at the head of the state.

That's why, all persons who didn't follow the state religion received punishments, was victims of tortures or    executions (burnt on fire …).
